I never thought I’d be writing this after 4 YEARS of being a loyal customer. My girlfriend and I have been regularly booking City Residency, Durgapur—sometimes monthly, sometimes multiple times a month—for the last four years.
But our recent experience was nothing short of disrespectful, inhuman, and deeply insulting.
A normal private argument (something that happens in any relationship) took place in our room—we did no damage to anything.
Within minutes, hotel staff and the manager barged into our room door and demanding we check out immediately No empathy, no attempt to de-escalate, just plain hostility.
We were humiliated. No refund was offered. No reasoning was listened to. We were forcefully checked out like criminals. The manager even said we’d be blocked from ever booking again. Newsflash: we wouldn’t dare book this place again even if it was the last option.
This treatment was a shameful betrayal of trust. For a hotel that’s taken our business for years, this is how they repay regular, respectful customers?
If you’re considering City Residency, think twice. If this can happen to loyal customers, it can happen to anyone.
To the management: You lost more than just a customer—you lost your credibility.
